Transcript:
In a cantina just south of the border in a place where the tourists don't go
Where the sun burns so bright and the moon shines at night
like a jewel, in the warm breezes blow I can't say it was love sent from heaven above
just the closest thing I've ever known. While our bodies would sway
to the music they played 'neath the stars of Old Mexico
I won't tell you that she was a beauty but then, I know that I'm no movie star.
But there was something especial about her that made her the fairest by far.
Like the shadows we danced close together all alone in that old smokey bar.
While our bodies would sway to the music they played
'neath the stars of Old Mexico
And there's been no love I knew that was ever so true
as we walked hand in hand to my room. And as we stood in the door
and she kissed me once more I could feel our love starting to bloom.
And with a smile on her lips that no man could resist
we made love, like never before. While our bodies would sway
to the music they played 'neath the stars of Old Mexico
I awoke to a note on my pillow in a language that I didn't know
But my greatest fears, were spelled out by the tears
as I read the words Te a doro. And to this day I still think about her
and the sweetest thing I'll ever know. While our bodies would sway
to the music they played 'neath the stars of Old Mexico
Nuestros querpos se mueven La musica suena bajo
Estrellas de Mexico.
