Certainly is superstition about black cat who crossing the street in front of You...
... the best what You can do is to turn on heel and go to other way.
Because cat brings death, misfortune, bad mark at school...
...cat is a symbol of witches and rage
Also we have a superstition about crossing under the pillars or ladders...
... it works the same like with cat, it can only bring misfortune, for instance taht this day my tooth will start to hurt
Another superstition is about greeting people at the threshold of the house...
...it is a typical superstition from our part of Poland(Podlasie)
... If someone comes to us, we should not greet a guest at the threshold of the house, first we have to let the guest enter our home and later to greet him
Another superstition is about cigarette and candle...
If You fire up the cigarette from candle, it will bring death og sailor at the sea
.......we are sorry.......It is not funny....
My mother always says to my to not sit on the corner because I will never marry, so far, she is right:)
I would like to add that ore is nasty color, if somebody like my friend who is sitting next to me has ginger hair it means that she is nasty...

Another superstition is about salt, actually we have few about salt, for instance....
... in my family, when salt scatter on the floor, table, it means that will be quarrell in family...
...You need to clean up quickly, to prevent quarrel.
The same is with bread, if You put bread ups side down it means that will be quarrel at home.
What else...
When You read newspaper or if You read something during the meal time, it means that You will have a stupid husband
When You will lick the bowl after pastry You will have bald husband.
So because I don't prefer stupid husband, I try to not read, at all:)
We have only a superstitiona about being rich...
...for example,if Your friend passed you on the street, and You din't recognise him...
...so people say that You will be rich, because somebody didn't recognise you.
This one is the best...
.... for example when You look at the clock, and it is for example 11:11...
... it means that it is a birthday of the hour, when I see it, it means that somebody thinks about me...
... of course it is a boy in whom I am unhappily in love
I just remembered that when I sneeze my mom says "Oh, somebody thinks about You"...

... a with nose....
...Ola, tell us about itchy nose...
... It depends on which side your nose itches you, if it is right side it means thay You will drink with somebody ,middel of the nose it means that You will fight with somebody, and left means that You will kiss somebody.
If your ears itching, it means that somebody backbiting You
..We have a lot of superstiions, a one more about The ending hight school party(senior prom)...
Here we have a custom that one hundred day before the school-leaving examination we have Grand Bal- we call it STODNIOWKA...
....during this ceremony, all the girls wear red panties or they have red garter....
...We do this because, we belive that I will help us to pass final exam in high school...
...and also You cannot cut hair after Grand Bal before the school-leaving examination
...Supposedly If you will cut your hair, You will not pass Your exam
To finish something joyful about death....
...My mom says "Never look into the births eyes, for example into ravens eyes, because they are messengers of death.
Speaking frankly even I didn't suspected that we have so many superstitions.
...aaa and when You break a glass people say You will have good luck, but it is not true , I did this many times and I don't have good luck

...aaa ...one more .... Nuns!!..
If You see a chimney sweep You have to catch button on clothes....
...if You will not catch button You will have bad luck...
... the best method is to ask Him to give you a botton of his clothes...
... about Nuns...
...people says that three nuns bring bad luck, so If I'm going to do shoping and I will see three nuns I not boy anything
...this is a good explanation..
..so our region of Poland is full of superstitions...
... the best is to not go ut from home...
....this is also probably a superstition.
