Hey, I'm Keri Glassman here with some quick and simple tips to help you feel just a little
bit better. The new year is coming quickly, prompting many of us to take a hard look at
ourselves and decide to make a change in our diet, amount of exercise, organization skills,
philanthropic endeavors, keeping in touch with our families, and on and on and on. I
love the idea of everyone bettering him or herself, so it may surprise you that I don't
really love the idea of New Year's Resolutions. Here's why. My philosophy is that we should
be looking at ourselves and the world around us and trying to improve a little bit every
single day. Shooting for these large, sweeping changes at the beginning of the year can set
you up for big-time disappointment and an excuse to put off your goals for next year
when it's January 26th and you've slipped. I know that happens to me. So sure, start
now, but don't think of it as a New Year's resolution. Think of it as your new life philosophy.
My mantra is “be responsible” –- for my health and the people and the world around
me. No matter what time of year it is. Remember: Resolutions are only effective if they last.
Forget the date and seek to improve yourself a little bit every day. You'll have more success,
which is guaranteed to make you feel just a little bit better.
