Namaskar Welcome to nishamadhulika.com
Today we will prepare Daal ke Cutlets which are very delicious and can be had for breakfast or tea.
Daal Cutlets can also be prepared and served for any party.
Ingredients required:
Chana dal (we have soaked it in water for 6-7 hours then removed the water and grinder to a coarse paste) - 1/2 cup
Bread crumbs - 1 cup (bread was put in a mixer and grinded)
Potato - 1 (boiled)
Green coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1/3 tsp or add to taste
Red chilly powder - less than 1/4 tsp
Green chilly - 1
Ginger - 1" long piece (grated)
Oil - to fry cutlets
Let us prepare the mixture to make cutlets.
Dal is ready, peel the potato and mash.
Finely mash the potato or we can also grate it.
Add dal to the mashed potato followed by salt, red chilly powder, garam masala, green chilly, ginger and coriander leaves.
Also add bread crumbs and mix all the ingredients to prepare the mixture required to make cutlets.
Turn on the gas to heat oil. Till then let us make the cutlets.
Take some mixture (lemon sized amount) and give it a round or any desired shape (round, oval, square etc).
Here we are giving the cutlets an oval shape.
Once the cutlets are shaped keep them on a plate.
The cutlets are ready and oil is also heated so let us fry these cutlets.
Put 2-3 (or as many cutlets that fit in the pan) in hot oil.
Turn over the cutlets once the lower side turns brown.
Fry cutlets till they turn well brown on both sides.
The cutlets have become brown all over so let us take them out.
Fry the remaining cutlets.
Dal ke Cutlets are ready, they have become very crispy.
Serve hot Daal ke Cutlets with green coriander chutney and tomato sauce.
