Hello, I'm Robert Cheeke, president and founder of Vegan Bodybuilding and Fitness based here
in Portland, Oregon. Today, on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to do a tutorial about
being vegan. In this clip I'm going to talk about how to be a healthy vegan. Basically,
there's a misconception out there that people have that vegans aren't healthy, when really
the reality is we're actually avoiding a lot of these unhealthy foods. We're avoiding meat,
we're avoiding dairy, we're avoiding eggs, we're avoiding like fast food junk food, and
what we're doing is we're consuming things like this. Like super foods, and fruits and
vegetables, and nuts and grains, and seeds and really a wide variety. The key is to eat
a variety of food, the more color the better, the more vitamins and minerals, amino acids,
all that the better. So eat a variety of plant based whole foods and you'll be healthy. Make
sure to exercise, get adequate sleep, get some good clean air and get an all around
picture of health, and then you can promote veganism to a wider audience. The healthier
you are, the better you are as a role model for people, so that's what I say.
