Hey, I'm Keri Glassman here with some quick and simple tips to help you feel just a little
bit better. Traveling can be difficult. Traveling around the holidays is even more difficult.
Traveling around the holidays with kids can feel next to impossible. Believe me, I know.
But if the plan calls for your family to be together, you may have no choice but to pack
the kids up and head to the airport. I have a few tips that won't necessarily make it
easy to travel with kids, but they'll definitely make it a little easier. Every little bit
counts, right? Your first line of defense is food. Hunger is the enemy of happiness
when it comes to kids, and it's the easiest thing to avoid. Carry homemade trail mix,
fruit, string cheese, turkey jerky –- whatever your kid's favorite healthy snack is. Be prepared.
And have plenty of bottled water on hand so everyone can stay hydrated. Your carry-on
should also include disinfecting hand wipes to keep things clean, some sort of portable
game for entertainment, and things like a favorite blanket or stuffed animal, which
will help during naptime. And always have your family's medical history handy. You never
know when an accident may happen, so it's good to be prepared. So remember: Traveling
with children isn't ever going to be easy-breezy, but there are a few things you can do to arrive
at your destination feeling just a little bit better.
