Hey, I'm Keri Glassmam here with some quick and simple tips to help you feel just a little
bit better. Today, I'm offering you a tip to eat a little bit better. Let's face it,
even if you try to avoid them, we all love chicken fingers. Whoever came up with that
name anyway? Whether we're preparing them for our children, serving them as a finger
food during cocktail hour -- it's safe to say they're a household favorite and go-to
item. Traditionally you may make chicken fingers with flour and breadcrumbs, and then fry them
in oil. I am going to challenge you to give them a try this way: instead of flour, breadcrumbs
and frying, use wheat germ and parmesan cheese to crust your chicken tenders. First dip in
a DHA fortified egg then simply coat with the wheat germ and parmesan mixture. Why wheat
germ? Well, wheat germ is the nutrient-packed part of the wheat kernel that is removed during
the refining process. It's high in vitamin E, B vitamins, and is packed with fiber. And
the parmesan? It's a great way to sneak a little bit of calcium and protein into the
meal -- especially important for kids with growing bones. And the salty taste kids and
adults both love! Now all you have to do is bake in the oven at 400 degrees for about
fifteen minutes, and dinner is served… A Little Bit Better!
