Hello and welcome to Archana's Rasoi. Today, we're making Masala Tomato, so stay tuned!
We're making Masala Tomatoes for two people today.
The ingredients you'll need are: cheese for garnish, 2 tbsp finely chopped ginger-garlic, 2 tbsp oil, 3 onions, finely chopped...
4-5 medium sized tomatoes, finely chopped, coriander for garnish, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp mix masala, 1 tbsp pav bhaji masala...
Salt to taste, 1/4 tsp hing (asafoetida), 1/2 tsp haldi (turmeric)...
Let's get started with Masala Tomato
Frequently when we're learning one recipe, we can apply it to a few others too. With this one, you can make egg bhurji or paneer bhurji!
There is another bhurji you can make, but for that, you'll just have to wait! Let's started with butter and oil for the seasoning
Heat 2 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter. Use 1 or 2 tbsp, at your discretion... Forget your diet here. Bhurji tastes better with oil and butter!
Add 1 tbsp butter. As the butter melts, add 1/4 tsp hing (asafoetida), 1/4 tsp haldi (turmeric), 2 tbsp finely chopped ginger-garlic and 1 tbsp mix masala
Add 1 tbsp pav bhaji masala. Add some coriander
We're mixing the masala well before adding 3 finely chopped onions
The onions need to be fried well. Then, we add salt. Since butter and cheese are also salty, we'll add less salt.
We're adding tomatoes now.
The tomatoes have to cook till they are soft!
The yummy Masala Tomatoes are ready. Don't over-cook the tomatoes or leave them raw! It has to turn into this gravy
Let's transfer it to a plate or bowl...
