[MUSIC PLAYING - THEME MUSIC]
JESSICA: So I'm here.
Day 1.
Dance Showdown.
I get to meet my partner.
I walk in and I see this guy.
And he's very hip hop and he's like urban field.
And he's got like a vest on and nice kicks.
Oh my god.
What's his name?
It's not Andre.
Oh my god, I called him Andre so many times.
I feel like such a jerk.
Hi!
I like tripped walking in.
I almost died.
[COW SOUND]
WEIRD ROBOT VOICE: Oh my god.
That'd be bad.
That'd be a bad way to start off the show.
ANZE SKRUBE: Nadia
JESSICA: Hi.
Jess.
ANZE SKRUBE: How you doing?
Anze.
JESSICA: Nice to meet you.
ANZE SKRUBE: I'll be dancing with ExoticJess.
And she's exotic, you know, sexy.
And she looks like she's a lot of fun.
She actually looks like she has a little bit of dance
experience.
Just by watching the videos, I have the best one this week.
I think we're going to have a good shot.
She's so hot.
She's attractive.
And no, really, she's lot of fun and very entertaining.
JESSICA: I have a gift for you.
ANZE SKRUBE: Really?
JESSICA: Yeah.
ANZE SKRUBE: Thank you so much.
JESSICA: If you're going to meet someone, you have to
present them with a gift.
I brought a green apple Jolly Rancher.
We're BFFs now on Facebook.
I'm really excited, kind of nervous.
And when I'm nervous, I have to--
I'm like--
ANZE SKRUBE: What makes you nervous?
JESSICA: You're a professional dancer.
I'm not.
ANZE SKRUBE: Exoticjess is going to have
to not get too nervous.
I just want her to enjoy her performance.
JESSICA: So what--
OK, you're a good dancer.
So what aren't you good at?
Do you cook?
ANZE SKRUBE: I'm not a good cook, but I cook a little bit.
JESSICA: Oh, see, that's where--
I cook good.
And I cook a lot.
ANZE SKRUBE: Oooh!
JESSICA: So I'll-- you teach me dancing.
I'll teach you how to make like a European dish.
Like pita and hummus.
He's a nice guy.
I'm not going to hit on him.
I'm not going to hit on him.
I'm not!
ANZE SKRUBE: What kind of character do you like to play?
JESSICA: My most favorite character is like the vixen.
One move, I'm probably be here and then one here
and then one here.
I really don't know what she's going to look like.
But I know that I'm probably going to have really big hair.
ANZE SKRUBE: I see you in that character as well.
So I'm happy to hear that.
Her personality, you know, it's sexy.
And I feel like I have to carry on with
that, with that image.
So you told me you like urban style, right?
JESSICA: I do.
Do you want to show me a move?
ANZE SKRUBE: Would you like to learn a couple urban moves?
JESSICA: Sure, I'll try.
ANZE SKRUBE: I'm just going to need you to
loose up a little bit.
Yeah.
And just, you know, take off your sassiness, just come into
the hood urban style, yeah?
Five and six and do it faster and one--
JESSICA: We jumped straight into like hard-core, intricate
foot movements.
And I nailed it.
ANZE SKRUBE: And faster, hey, hey.
JESSICA: Oh my god.
And then you add the moves and the arms and the--
ANZE SKRUBE: We won't need to do that fast.
So, don't worry about it.
But it's a very good start for us.
JESSICA: We can dance connect.
We connect dance.
We're BFFs, I told you.
ANZE SKRUBE: You'll have to incorporate a
couple different tricks.
So I would like to lift you somehow.
JESSICA: Have you ever seen that scene in "Dirty Dancing"
where he lifts her--
ANZE SKRUBE: Yeah!
JESSICA: --up over his head and she's like aaah!
ANZE SKRUBE: Yes.
You want to try that?
JESSICA: We could try it.
ANZE SKRUBE: Yeah.
JESSICA: I said have you ever seen "Dirty
Dancing." He said yes.
And I said well, I think we should do that dance move.
And we did.
Oh my god!
ANZE SKRUBE: Here we go.
JESSICA: And we nailed it.
We're going to win, I'm pretty sure.
Did we do it?
ANZE SKRUBE: Almost!
Our dance is going to be a little different than the
"Dirty Dancing." I don't think we'll put this into or
choreography, but it was fun.
Do you remember that dance scene from the movie "The
Mask?"
JESSICA: Yes, with Cameron Diaz?
ANZE SKRUBE: Exactly.
JESSICA: Sort of.
ANZE SKRUBE: You remember that seducive dance between them
and how he lifts her.
JESSICA: He lifts her around his body, right?
ANZE SKRUBE: Exactly.
That's what we're trying.
It's about to be a cool, sexy, saucy routine.
So you'll start here.
Just so you imagine, when you jump, I'll hold you
right here and then--
JESSICA: So I'm jumping and then landing this way.
I'm always afraid that I'll get dropped because my brother
and my sister and myself played that trust game when we
were little.
I didn't get caught.
So I always have some trust issues.
ANZE SKRUBE: Jump.
Very perfect.
Then I'll just go around.
JESSICA: Oh my god.
ANZE SKRUBE: And swing your legs around.
JESSICA: OK.
ANZE SKRUBE: Ready?
JESSICA: Ready.
That way?
ANZE SKRUBE: Almost.
JESSICA: Oh I'm so sorry.
Did that hurt you?
ANZE SKRUBE: Amazing, no.
JESSICA: I'm sorry.
ANZE SKRUBE: That's what we're trying.
JESSICA: Did they tell you I might kill you?
ANZE SKRUBE: That's good.
JESSICA: We were flipping, jumping.
I'm being like spun.
I'm doing like a spinny thing around his body.
And I am a lot stronger than I thought, because I didn't
think I could stick my legs like that straight.
I always sucked at Twister.
But this is pretty good.
I'm really excited.
ANZE SKRUBE: Beautiful!
Yay!
JESSICA: Better?
I'm trusting you!
ANZE SKRUBE: That's good.
Surprisingly, everything is going very smooth.
She's picking up the choreography really fast.
And I'm actually realizing I could give her a couple more--
couple more challenges.
I choreographed a little too simple, so I'll have to do a
little more advanced.
JESSICA: Really?
Oh good!
JESSICA: Yay!
ANZE SKRUBE: So it's very good.
JESSICA: I mean, I'm competent in that I think
I did really well.
I think I caught on to the moves quite quick.
It's just now like executing them to the music.
ANZE SKRUBE: Let's work on shuffle.
I feel like that's going to be the part where judges will
really looking at.
As a signature move, I'm trying to use
shuffle in this routine.
Uh puh yeah.
JESSICA: Oh man.
ANZE SKRUBE: So when you get this--
JESSICA: It's kind of like the "Roger Rabbit" meets "The
Running Man." The move is clicking with me not so well.
My feet don't want to do the move.
My bits don't coordinate well with my brain.
ANZE SKRUBE: It's more about the contraction in--
huh ooh, ooh, ooh-- it's more about that.
Exactly.
JESSICA: Got it.
Let's try that again.
ANZE SKRUBE: Right now Exoticjess is having a little
issues with the shuffle.
But I'm lucky enough that she knows the running man already,
which is very similar.
Six, seven, eight.
Exactly.
Now I want you to do exactly the same--
keep your focus from--
JESSICA: Here.
Ohhh.
ANZE SKRUBE: Yeah.
JESSICA: OK, I'll try.
ANZE SKRUBE: We want to see your face.
People's gonna like this performance because I'm just
going to try to keep it exotic, pretty much.
And I'll try to make a spicy routine for her.
How you make it exotic and spicy, pretty much you just
mix exotic with spicy.
And you get Jess.
It's like a soup, you know.
Fast.
Do it again.
JESSICA: OK.
ANZE SKRUBE: Six, seven, eight.
Move, move, three, four, fast, six--
JESSICA: Oh my god!
ANZE SKRUBE: One, Good!
Good job, yo.
Good job.
JESSICA: That's going to be great.
He's a good-looking guy.
And we're just a great looking team, you know?
Doesn't have to be anything behind it.
We're just a great-looking team.
I think we did good.
ANZE SKRUBE: I think--
I think we might win this.
JESSICA: I think we are going to win.
I'm super excited about my partner.
I'm super excited about this routine.
And I'm super excited to get it over with, in
front of the judges.
I just want to do it and get it over with.
ANZE SKRUBE: Yeah?
JESSICA: Excited.
Whoo!
ANZE SKRUBE: That's a wrap, here we go.
JESSICA: We're going to win!
ANZE SKRUBE: Let's go.
Hey!
JESSICA: Aye-o.
