Hey guys welcome to the launch of my new channel! Thank you so much for your great comments
and words of encouragement
I'm so happy you followed me here. So today I'm going to show you how to make
my delicious Apple Cider Pancakes with a warm apple raisin syrup
I grew up in a home with a dad who was a real early riser. And on the weekends he could lure us out of bed
with a trip to the local pancake house
and you can do the same with your guests with this recipe. Here's how to make it.
In a large mixing bowl you are going to add your flour
and sugar
salt, baking powder
and one teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
you're going to whisk that all together and then you're going to add your eggs
milk, apple cider
and if you can only find the apple cider that is already spiced, that's OK.
A little extra sweetness in something like this, isn't going to hurt
whisk that all together until combined and then you are going to add your melted butter.
then you are going to add your nuts, now if you are not a nut person, you could leave them out
but I definitely encourage you to at least try it. Having a bit of crunch in a recipe like this
just gives you that extra added fall flavor that's really delicious
just set that aside and then you are going to get to work on your syrup
in a large saute pan you are going to melt some butter and then had some chopped apples
I really like the gala apples for something like this because they are
sweet
add another teaspoon of the pumpkin pie spice and then your raisins
and just saute up until those apples are tender and start to become soft
then you are going to add your maple syrup. You want to stay away from the ones that are filled
with a lot of sweeteners and preservatives you want to just get the pure maple syrup
you'll find it'll come in two different varieties you can get the grade A
maple syrup which is a light amber color or you can get the grade B
which is that dark rich color. That's the syrup you want for this recipe
It's just gonna give you a lot more flavor
allow that to thicken and then its done and then it's time to make your pancakes
I really love to use these large griddles pans because it allows you to make really big pancakes allows you to make really big paintings
and it's also great if you have a crowd and you have to make a lot of them
you are going to ladle out 3 large pancakes. Allow them to cook just until you
see little bubbles appear that's when you know it's time to flip them
and then let it cook for another one to two minutes on the other side
and then your pancakes are done
I love to serve this breakfast, 3 pancakes piled high with a pat of melted butter on top
and then serve that warm apple raisin syrup on top
you will see, this is a great fall breakfast that will welcome any guest, even those who say they don't like to get up for breakfast
give this place prior let me know what you can't
I hope you guys will give this one a try and let me know what you think
and I'll see you back here next week, when I'll show you how to make
a really simple appetizer. It's my goat cheese tartelettes with sweet onion jam
a fabulous appetizer for entertaining especially this time year
and it's also very inexpensive to make. I'll see you then!
