Hi there! I’m from Close To My Heart.
Today I’ll show you how base and shade stamping
gets beautiful results with minimum fuss!
This card, found on page 66
of the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book,
uses the base and shade stamping technique
for this beautifully detailed pumpkin, right here.
The images we used are from
the My Acrylix® stamp set called So Grateful.
Let me show you how base and shade stamping works.
First, ink the base image,
which is the solid pumpkin,
in the lighter ink color, like this.
(Pause)
Then, ink the shade image,
which is the script pumpkin,
in the darker color
just like so.
This ensures that the shade image,
which is the script design,
pops off the base.
Isn’t that easy?
Base and shade stamping really does allow you
to create an impressive focal point
for any card in a snap!
