Today we will make teti pickle. It is also known as dele and turns out to be very delicious.
Let's start with the procedure of making teti pickle.
Teti is very often found in market in today's date as it is found in jungles and there is an excessive decrease in the values of jungles as well as teti.
It is very often found in months of September and October.
We have taken 250 grams teti, removed the stalk, washed twice and dried completely.
Now add 1 tsp salt into it.
Mix salt in teti nicely.
Now place them in a container and store for up to 3 days.
Stir teti once in a day nicely.
Teti is ready.
Now let's see what ingredients are required for making pickle.
Teti - salted (stored for 3 days)
Mustard oil - ½ cup
Red chilly powder - ¼ tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Fennel powder - 1 tsp
Black pepper powder - ½ tsp
Asafoetida - 2 pinch
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Yellow mustard powder - 2 tbsp
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
For making teti pickle firstly heat mustard oil.
Pour mustard oil in pan, turn on the gas and let it get hot completely.
By heating oil the spiciness gets reduced and also all impurities will get absorbed.
Now turn off the gas and make it cool down little.
Don't add spices in too much heated oil.
Take out teti in a bowl and remove water.
Now add asafoetida, turmeric powder, fennel powder, teti, salt, black pepper powder, red chilly powder and yellow mustard powder.
Mix all ingredients nicely.
Also add vinegar into it.
Mix properly. Teti pickle is ready.
Take it out in a plate.
Teti pickle is ready and taste good.
Serve this pickle after 3 days only.
When pickle cools downs completely store it any glass or plastic container.
Before storing pickle in container wash it with hot water and dry under sunlight.
Store in container and daily stir it once in a day as all spics and oil settles at bottom.
After 3 days all spices will get absorbed in teti and very delicious pickle will be ready.
Use a clean and dry spoon for taking out pickle.
It can be stored for up to 6 months.
