Hi, this is Rich Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village,
I'm going to show you how to make wasabi mashed potatoes. Alright, if I was plating this,
I actually put this in a half a cup, actually my measuring cup and I just let it fall out.
It actually came out really nice. What I then would do, is just take a little bit of my-
now realize there would be other things on this plate, of course if you had it. I would
just take a little bit of the black pepper, put a little bit of fresh black pepper and
put a little dollop of the wasabi on top. A little bit more, and that's perfect. I cut
up my scallions and I would just put a couple of scallions like that. That would be the
mashed potato part of the plate and I might put some scallions around the plate like that.
That's it, that's for servicing one. For servicing our big bowl, I would just grab some of the
scallions, put them around like that. Look at how pretty that looks. Right in the middle,
put a little bit of the wasabi and do one more. I would put a couple of scallions on
top of that wasabi as well. Cover this with some saran wrap and say "hey, I brought the
wasabi mashed potatoes to the party, what's to eat!" Alright, so I hope you make these
potatoes, they got a lot of kick and realize that if you're using the sauce it's not going
to be as strong as if you have the dried powder or the paste. I hope you make this and when
I come back I just want to talk a little bit about cost and storage.
