Homemade Churros Recipe

We often make pakora's with gram flour at our homes.
Today we will make sweet Mexican pakora's with maida .i.e. churros.
Let's see what ingredients are required for making churros.
Maida - 1 cup
Powdered sugar - ¼ cup (mix ½ tsp green cardamom powder)
Salted butter - 2 tbsp (add 1-2 pinch salt if using unsalted butter)
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Baking powder - ½ tsp
Oil - to fry churros
For making churros firstly prepare a batter with maida.
Add 1 cup water against 1 cup maida.
Add butter and sugar in water.
When butter and sugar melts add maida in water.
Water has started boiling; now add baking soda and maida into it.
Stir constantly until all lumps get dissolved and prepare soft dough.
Reduce the flame to minimum.
Stir until you get soft dough. Turn off the gas.
Dough is ready.
Now heat oil for frying churros.
Fill the dough in a cake decorating machine and make churros.
Tightly screw the cap.
You can also use machines used for making chakkli's or piping bags by placing a nozzle at the bottom.
If you even don't have piping bag then take a polythene bag and place the nozzle at the bottom and make churros.
Check whether oil is hot or not.
Oil is heated; now fry churros.
Press the liver down wards and make churros accordingly and place them in pan.
Fry on medium flame until they turn golden brown in color.
Take them out in a plate.
Like wise make all churros.
Now sprinkle powdered sugar and cardamom on fried churros.
Mix nicely.
