Spaghetti With Meat Sauce Recipe : Adding Salt: Spaghetti Recipe

Hi! This is Richard Buccola from New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village,
I am going to show you how to make some spaghetti with meat sauce. I'm back and I meant to tell
you if you have a Teflon pan, use a wooden spoon or you will scratch the heck out of
that and you don't want to do that. I am just browning the meat here and as I brown the
meat, it's a good time to come over here and add a little olive oil to my water, just a
little splash. That will keep the spaghetti from sticking and I just add a nice amount
of salt, good punch. A punch is about a hand full. That should be good. That is to flavor
it up. If you have any extra, throw a little over your shoulder. That's what my mom used
to always say. I don't know about these wise tales. I actually had some people ask me about
where did I learn to cook and I learned from my mom who was one of 4 sisters growing up
in Long Island City as a kid. It's funny cuz, my auntie married the oldest of the 4 sisters.
She could cook. Just to give you an idea how this lady could cook. We would do a family
reunion every year and we would have a Bunson burner. She would cook on that Bunson burner.
She cooked breakfast for 50 people on a two Bunson burner thing and later on had a barbecue
turkey and we had turkey dinner for the afternoon. That was the kind of cook she was, amazing.
When I come back, I am going to keep making this. It is inexpensive, it's fast and it's
cheap. It's good for you! It's Spaghetti with meat sauce.
