Hi my name is Lori with Figs Catering in Austin, Texas on behalf of Expert Village today we
are going to show you how to make a entire Thanksgiving meal. To start our Thanksgiving
meal first we are going to start off with our turkey. Here we have about a 10 pound
turkey it is going to take about 3 to 3 1/2 hours to cook. I've got it sitting on a roasting
pan with some aluminum foil underneath and that would really help with clean up. Also
we are going to make a sage butter. To make a sage butter, you would need 1 stick of butter
and some sage. You also need some salt and pepper. We are also going to need to seasoning
outside of the turkey as well as the inside of the turkey with the salt and pepper. With
the sage butter, we are going to mix it and make sure we rub it all over the turkey. We
are going to make sure we get inside the skin of the turkey so it flavors the turkey from
the inside out. It is going to give our turkey a really great flavor. The flavor of the turkey
is going to be a nice buttery sage flavor. If you don't like sage, feel free to use other
herbs like rosemary or thyme.
