AS WE REPORTED
YESTERDAY MORNING, A
LOCAL RADIO STATION
PLANNED A SPECIAL
DANCE FOR FATHERS AND
DAUGHTERS --
IT WAS HELD LAST NIGHT,
IN THE SAME CITY THAT
CANCELED GENDER
SPECIFIC EVENTS EARLIER
THIS YEAR.

NIELSEN HAS THE STORY
FROM CRANSTON.
EVERYONE SEEMED TO HAVE A
GREAT TIME AT THE FATHER
DAUGHTER DANCE.
ALL THE PARENTS I TALKED TO
PRETTY MUCH SAID THEY
WERENT GOING TO LET SCHOOL
POLICIES STOP THEM FROM
HAVING FUN.

THE CRANSTON SCHOOL
CCOMMITTEE CANCELLED
THEIR TRADITIONAL FATHER
DAUGHTER DANCE.

THE MOTHER OF A YOUNG GIRL
WHOSE FATHER ISN'T AROUND,
TOOK ISSUE WITH THE
TRADITIONAL DANCE... SO THE
SCHOOL CHANGED ITS POLICY
TO MAKE THE DANCE GENDER
NEUTRAL AND FIT INTO
FEDERAL LAWS.
CAT COUNTRY STEPPED IN TO
DO IT THEMSELVES.
