This week's Music Monday is the godly edition with JYJ's "Ayyy Girl"

I totally love this song. It's extremely catch and it's amazing to dance to,
but I want to address something, that I'm sure is on everyone's mind
I don't want to say it out loud, but I'm just gonna think it.

For me, I'd like to mention the pure shock I experienced
when I saw Junsoo walk out wearing a white apron.
I know, I know, it's super sexy, and I'm sure many Cassiopeias have day dreamed
about Junsoo cooking in their kitchen as a half-naked chef.
Ayyy Girl. Breakfast is served...on me!
However, there is a time and a place for wearing an apron,
and dancing around a collapsing pantheon is not the right time
to fulfill your sexy chef fantasies.
What I like about the video is when they punch an eagle right out of the sky
*singing* They jump so high! They touch the sky, and punch a harmless eagle in the eye!
In fact, at that very moment, you can clearly hear the sound of a punched eagle dying
Of course, you don't see the bird because
surely animal rights activists would complain about it.
Luckily for you, we've recovered the original footage.
Here's how it really went down.

So we're a little confused about the concept for this dance.
SHINee did a wave for "Hello"; B2ST covered their mouths for "Breath"
But JYJ is rolling down the car window for "Ayyy Girl?"
I don't get it. Maybe this is the start of a new trend.

Ayyy girl! Can I buy you a drink?
What are you doing?
I'm rolling down my sexy window!
Please don't roll down your window around me?
But what if I do these dance moves?

Oh my! So sexy!
One thing that's amazing about JYJ is that they have perhaps
the sexiest yet clumsiest 100m dash on record.
They all run top speed at the camera, trip,
and yet somehow manage to look good the whole time.
You know what people really look like when they're running that fast?
Let me tell you, it's not pretty.
[sounds of Simon in agony, and then crying]

As for the English of the song we give this a 5 out of 5
The song's entirely in English and their accents are actually quite good,
But as for the beginning of the song, we give the rappers A 3 out of 5
We were absolutely appalled by the bad grammar in this song.
You see, as English teachers in Korea, we have to correct people's grammar,
So, Mr. West, here's a bit of a lesson for you. Ahem:

Error #1: "Living life like there's no damn rules"
That is a predicate without a subject. Who is living life like there's no damn rules?
Is it Kanye West? Is it the girls? Is it JYJ? Is it Spudgy?
We don't know because there's no noun or pronoun at the beginning of the sentence.
DEEEEENNNNGGGGG!
Error #2 "Tonight I'm finna hop up in that hotel pool"?
Mr. West, did you just say "finna hop UP in that hotel pool"?
No, Mr. West. You finna hop INTO a pool, so I'm finna give you three out of five
SHAZAM!
In conclusion Mr. West, it's clear to me that with grammar like that
you will never make it in the kpop world. For shame.
