Hey, I'm Keri Glassman here with quick and simple tips to help you feel just a little
bit better. Fans of this series know that I'm all about staying hydrated. It's one of
the easiest things you can do to feel a little bit better. And you don't have to get all
of your hydration from water. How about a few surprising, interesting ways to add more
fluid to your diet? Coffee and tea are excellent sources of hydration that you can include
in your daily fluid tally. I know, you've heard that coffee and tea aren't good for
hydration. It's true that you shouldn't rely solely on them for your fluid intake, but
in combination with other sources they are perfectly acceptable. Chomping on veggies
does more than just nourish your body, it can also quench your thirst. Homemade salsa
is perfect for hydration because tomatoes have a high water volume. And if you add other
fresh fruit and vegetables to the mix like cucumber, mango or lime, they add even more
fluid. Oatmeal is another good source of hydration that I'm sure you've not thought about. Unprocessed
oats soak up a lot of water or milk when you cook them, which stays with the oats when
you eat it. So remember: Water is important, but you don't have to get all your hydration
from that. Seek out different ways to add fluid to your diet and you'll feel a little
bit better.
