Pensacola, reliving stories of
their
conquests and tales of adventure

look at these guys as
monuments, this is such an
important part of American
history," Numerous men from the
Apollo 13 mission took the stage
early, including survivor Ret.
Navy Captain Jim Lovell - along
side former flight directors
Eugene Kranz, Gerry Griffin and
engineer
Glynn Lunney, men who were key
in bringing Lovell and the rest
of the crew home safely after an
explosion on their shuttle Tom

at NASAhe was one of
dozens that got to hear the men
speak and ask their own
questions.
"It's important to hear these
guys stories when everyone was
rooting for the US to be the

everyone was so unified in this
program," But the importance of
the day
wasn't lost on those not old
enough to remember the events

wore his own special spacesuit
to the ceremony "He wants to
work for NASA, he may or may not
but this is an experience he
wont be able to have again - to
meet some people who did truly
amazing things. We'll always be
able to say yes, remember when
you saw those people and it'll
add layers to his memories," "I
think it's important to see
these
guys and hear their stories
while they're still around with
us," Reporting from
Pensacola, Cory Pippin, Fox 10
