SHEENA DIMATTEO: America celebrates National Dance Day.
MissP reviews Big Freedia's latest video.
And the ICONic Boyz send me an ab-alicious message.
This is "Just Dance" for August 4, 2011.
MALE SPEAKER: Hey, Sheena, we are the ICONic Boyz.
Check that out.
SHEENA DIMATTEO: Whoo!
ICONic Boyz, maybe you want to do that when you're
a little bit older.
But thank you very much for that ab-alicious message.
And I'm very impressed you know my name.
I'm feeling really special right now.
So speaking of ICONic Boyz, last week all the crews from
America's Best Dance Crew, crews from all over the world,
were battling it out in Las Vegas at Hip Hop
International.
Now, I wish I could have been there.
And if you guys couldn't hop a flight to Las Vegas to check
out this crazy event, House of Crews was there capturing all
the day-to-day action, from interviews with Chachi and
"PacMan" from I aM mE to just the daily events, everything
that was going down.
Check out all their great videos.
It's so much cool dancing.
You'll feel like you were right there in the act.
New Orleans bounce queen, Big Freedia, is at it again with
her booty-popping moves all over her new dance video, to
the track "Excuse." Let's check in now with MissP for
her thoughts.
[MUSIC - BIG FREEDIA, "EXCUSE"]
MISS P: Just got done watching Big Freedia's "Excuse." I
don't mean to be rude, just give me that mike, let
me do what I do.
Chee-wawa-wa, chee-ba, chee-ba--
my hips hurt.
I've been windin' it.
And them little white girls in this video, oh my god.
I love it.
I love it.
SHEENA DIMATTEO: Thank you so much, MissP.
You guys have to check out MissP's channel, if you
haven't already.
I've put a link below.
So much funny stuff.
This news is fresh off the press.
Darren Criss, who you all know as Blaine from the Warblers on
Glee, will be replacing Daniel Radcliffe in January as the
role of J. Pierpont Finch, savvy businessman, in How to
Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
This'll be Darren's Broadway debut.
Can't wait to see how it goes.
We're down to the top three guys, top three girls for
season eight, So You Think You Can Dance.
All I know is the top eight had a fierce battle in front
of Lady Gaga herself and choreographer Rob Marshall.
ROB MARSHALL: I love this show because it does
celebrate the dancer.
SHEENA DIMATTEO: My favorite routine, hands down, was the
jazz duo between Melanie and Sasha.
It was so fierce.
Lady Gaga must have felt the exact same way, because she
threw her bazooka-size red high heel to the stage as a
gift to the girls for such an amazing performance.
At this stage in the game, there are so many good dancers
that it's so hard to say good-bye to everyone that
leaves from this point on.
I know a lot of Jordan and Jess fans were
super-heartbroken when they were sent home.
But don't worry.
They're going to be on tour.
You're going to be seeing a lot more
of them in the future.
JESS LEPROTTO: We'll be gone for two weeks.
And then we're back again for that finale.
JORDAN CASSANOVA: Yeah, yeah.
JESS LEPROTTO: So technically it's not over.
And then after that finale, we go on tour.
So it's really, really not over.
SHEENA DIMATTEO: Last night, your top six rocked it out for
guest judge Christina Applegate.
As always, Just Dance was there on the scene getting
interviews with your favorite remaining dancers.
Click here to check out how they're dealing with the
pressure of the final six.
So I'm wondering, what were you guys doing on
Saturday, July 30?
Because I hope you didn't miss out on National Dance Day.
So wherever you were, even if it was stifling hot, I hope
you got up and were dancing, at least for a little while.
National Dance Day campaign was started to encourage
Americans to incorporate dance into their lives to improve
heart health, combat obesity, and above all, have fun.
Los Angeles didn't miss out on Dance Day.
At Six Flags, a huge amount of celebrities, dancers, and
everyday people just like you got together
to celebrate dance.
You should head over to the Dizzy Feet Foundation videos,
which I put the links to below.
Or you can do an entire master class in the comfort of your
own living room.
Whether it's beginner level, intermediate, or advanced, you
can always get dancing without even having
to leave your house.
So I always get really excited to see what the new test is
going to be on Glee Project every week.
This past week, sexuality was the test.
So they're beyond the slushies.
They're on to sex.
ROBERT ULRICH: I think this could be the best big-group
number yet.
In this video, each contender is
singing to another contender.
So Hannah is longing for Alex who is longing for Damian who
is longing for Lindsay who is longing for Samuel who is
longing for Hannah.
So we're really going to be able to analyze their acting
and their screen presence.
SHEENA DIMATTEO: I personally think most of the contestants
handled that racy homework assignment with ease.
And last week, your favorites were Lindsey and Damien.
Do we still think they're going to end up
in the final two?
And what do we think about Cameron quitting the show?
CAMERON MITCHELL: Yeah.
I hope you guys saw that and just kind of
understood why it happened.
And it wasn't because I don't want to be an actor.
It wasn't because I kissed a girl.
It wasn't just because of that.
It was a decision that I felt was right.
SHEENA DIMATTEO: So I was really pumped when Rio came
out to the movie theaters.
But somehow enough time has passed
that it's on DVD already.
It seemed like a blink of an eye.
There's some super-cute dance scenes in this movie with all
the birds busting out some moves by
choreographer Rosero McCoy.
Rio has tons of fun for the entire family.
And don't forget to check out all the special features.
All right, Just Dance-ers, that is a wrap, all your dance
news for the week.
As always, please Like my videos down here.
Subscribe to DanceOn up there.
I'm Sheena Dimatteo bringing you your weekly dose of dance
every Thursday.

I'll see you later.
