How to Make Mashed Potatoes : Whipping Potatoes for Mashed Potatoes

Hi, this is Richard Buccola in New York City and on behalf of Expert Village, today I am
going to show you how to make some mashed potatoes. I'm back, I've been whipping these
bad boys for about 5 minutes. They look amazing. There are really no lumps and you know with
mashed potatoes, you are always going to get a couple of lumps so don't worry about it.
Just know that you did the right thing with these. So just turn this off, put these right
into your sink. Just leave them because sometimes you might want to whip them more. Just keep
them on the side for cleanup. What I like to do is just give it a quick taste so take
a spoon and give it a little taste and see how they are. No lumps, good stuff. A little
hint of scallion is what you want. That is nice and we are just going to put into a big
old bowl. Remember before the bowl that we used for our potato skins? Just going to add
all of these in there right in the center.
