Welcome to worship the Lord, Bible Study Lesson 8 in The Book of Genesis. We will be starting
in Chapter 11 dealing with Nimrod, the building of the tower of Babel and the initial calling
of Abram to start the Hebrew nation. In Chapter 10, I briefly said some things about Nimrod
and we’re going to go back and take a closer look at this important person in the genealogy
and in world history. Cush was the father of Nimrod who grew to
be a mighty warrior on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord and that is
why it is said; like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord.
In Verse 8 Cush was the father of Nimrod, his name means rebel, he is a type of the
anti-Christ that will not be revealed until after the rapture. Instead of mighty hunter
before the Lord it should be he was a might tyrant in the face or against the Lord. He
was hunting men’s souls. Nimrod became a leader, a developer of a great religious system
later to become known as the Babylonian Mystery Religion. This began with Nimrod as he was
making his name mighty and wanted to be like God.
Now we look at some of the cities he built and what they’re known for; the first centers
of his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, Akkad and Calneh in Shinar. From that land he went
to Assyria where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth, Ir, Calah and Resen which is between Nineveh
and Calah, that is the great city. You can see that Nimrod was a busy guy, building
all these cities, it was a large area you can rightfully call it the Country of Nimrod
or Nimrod Town. He was the leader of that area and the city of Nineveh itself it took
a three days journey to explore the whole city. It would be like doing to Disney World,
you just couldn’t see it all in one day. But Nimrod did this by force and he went back
to the wicked ways as a people from prior to the floods. So much that God said to Jonah
the prophet in Jonah 1:2 go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it because of
its wickedness has come up before me. Jonah didn’t want to go; they were enemies of
Israel as well as the Assyrians. God is showing compassion to them. When Jonah preaches to
the city they repent and Jonah gets upset and then Jonah 4:11 God says; but the people
has more than 120,000 people who cannot tell their right hand from their left and many
cattle as well, should I not be concerned about that great city. Now here he is appealing
to Jonah’s mercy for 120,000 children that don’t know right and wrong. There was nearly
600,000 total living in the city just doing very terrible things, concoring people. And
even they repent, latter on when they hear this word from Jonah.
That gives us hope that God want everyone to be saved and he never gives up on anyone,
we all have a second chance. Why does God have the flood to wipe out mankind and start
over with only 8 people on the ark will still produce a sinful nation. Noah was a descendent
of Adam; we are all born with the same sinful nature. By faith he got on the ark and accepted
God. They would have children; they would have to accept God as well just like today
if a mom and dad is a Christian and they have a child, that child has to make a choice to
accept Jesus Christ. Chapter 11. Now the whole world had one language
and a common speech as men moved eastward they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.
They said to each other, come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly. They used
brick instead of stone and tar for mortar. Then they said; come let us build ourselves
a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens so that we may make a name for ourselves and
not be scattered over he face of the whole earth.
So going back to Genesis 10:10, it says in the beginning of the kingdom of Babel. Now
they build this tower in Shiner which is flat and the tower was not to worship God, the
tower was not to reach heaven but was to be a worship of the stars and constellations.
And many towers have been uncovered in archeological digs there in the Babylon in plain of Shiner.
They have discovered crystals that somehow they use as antennas to communicate with each
other. We tend to think ancient people were not bright but today we still are puzzled
on how the Egyptians built the pyramids. At this time there was one language on the earth
and then Nimrod is fighting against the Lord. He was trying to separate Babylon. Nimrod
is trying to keep the people together and in a one world power, language and religion.
But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. The
Lord said; if as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this then nothing
they plan to do will be impossible for them, come, let us go down and confuse their language
so they will not understand each other. So the Lord scattered them from there over all
the earth and they stopped building the city. That is why it is called Babel because there
the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them
over the face of the whole earth. So man had determined in verse 4, let us build
ourselves a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens so that we may make a name
for ourselves. This word in the Hebrew is S-H-E-M and is pronounced shame. I just think
that’s interesting and the meanings are reputation, fame, glory, a memorial, a monument.
And that is what man can do. When we look in verse 6 I pondered, because it says the
people were speaking the same language and begun to do this then nothing they plan to
do will be impossible for them. and I said,” can that mean the same as what Jesus said
in the New Testament”, so here is we’re going back to the—to get the real meaning
of the word. The real word is restraint and it’s used several times in the Old Testament.
And the meanings I have picked up were: gather, fortify, defense, fencing, make strong and
many things. To me it sound like you young man wanting power, control, accumulation of
things and protecting what you have. The words for restraint are “Bashar” and it means
what I just said. Now when we come to the New Testament there are 9 times the word impossible
is used; in Luke 1:37, for with God, nothing shall be impossible. And this word is – [Adynateo
-and it means not the strength, power or build cannot be done by men. God can do what seems
impossible to man. The second use of the word impossible in Mathew
19:26 when Jesus said unto to them, with men this are impossible but with God all things
are possible. These word for impossible -Adynatos- means without strength, impotent, powerless,
weak, and unable to be done. So we’re saying that with man things impossible but with God
all things are possible. The word here in genesis it your bible says impossible is not
as strong as what is meant later in the Greek -impossible-. But it shows that men from the
beginning to make a name for themselves. Today you can have people, they phrase 15 minutes
of fame but it means nothing if you don’t have Jesus Christ in our life. So you’re
asking what is this religious system, what’s wrong with studying the stars? It’s even
possible, originally God placed the stars for the signs showing the gospel and then
Satan changes it through astrology and this began with the Babylonian era and what’s
in the bible also says that God placed the star for signs and for season. You see different
consolations during different times of the year. Here God uses different languages to
confuse the people so they can understand each other. In contrast in the New Testament
in the book of Acts Chapter 2, God will pour out his Holy Spirit and use the speaking of
tongues in many languages to preach to the council and more than three thousand people
will say them one day as each one understands their own language.
Chapter 2, when the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly
a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house
where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came
to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak
in other tongues as the spirit enabled them. Now they were staying in Jerusalem, God fearing
Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound the crowd came together
in bewilderment because each one heard him speaking in his own language, utterly amazed
they asked "are not all these men who are speaking Galileans, then how easy that each
of us here is heard him in his own native language. Parthians, Medes and Ediomites,
residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Capadelcia, Pontus and Asia, Fregia, Pamphelia, Egypt
and the parts of Libya, Syrene. Visitors from Rome both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans
and Arabs. We here them declaring the wonders of God in their own tongues" Amazed and perplexed,
they asked one another. "What does this mean?” Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized every
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and you will
receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit". Those who accepted his message were baptized and
about three thousand were added to their number that day.
You may not know this, but there is one common language today in the world, that common language
is math. People today are far removed far removed from the earliest computers that were
huge many mathematical punch cards supplied information through the computer, today’s
computers operate on the same basis. Today on internet you can translate any page into
any language you want. I use it on lessons on You Tube have full captions and lessons
and someone can choose their own language and get captions. Every page on my website
has a Google translate dropdown as you can choose language. This will eventually allow
the whole world to be unified as in a day of Nimrod.
I'm now going to explain how this Babylonian religion started with Semeramas, Nimrod and
Tammuz. Which also is known in other parts of the world as cupid in Venice and Egypt
its Osiris and Iris the Canaanites with Ashtoreth and Baal which you see throughout the Old
Testament in Rome it was Fortuna and Jupiter and then the East it was Sheng-moo, and there
is many others that are all same.
I will explain how these things got mixed into Christianity through church history .and
using a clip from my revelation lessons which was done about three years ago. I will sound
better in some parts, and adding details my voice will go back and forth.
Speaker 2: Satan knows the bible. And he knew God's plan for a virgin birth, his son to
die and to be resurrected and right here he is forming a counterfeit religion. The whole
Babylonian culture and religion would worship, Nimrod, Semeramas and Tammuz. Instead of God
the Father, Holy Spirit and Jesus. And that time they celebrated Satranaillia. Pergamum
and Rome, were two places where the Babylonian religion. In Genesis 10 there is a man called
Nimrod, Nimrod found the Babel? Well you might know tower of Babel.
This gal Semeramus who comes out of his haram and he makes her queen and she is referred
to in the bible in two places as queen of heaven. Jeremiah 7:18 and Jeremiah 44:18 and
19 it's referring to how the people of Israel had adopted these practices of worshipping
the queen of heaven. The story goes that Nimrod dies through several versions of how this
happens but his wife Simi ramus never had relationships with him. She claims that she
becomes miraculously pregnant to have a virgin birth of the baby Tammuz who is born on December
25th. She also claims that it is Nimrod reincarnated so that we hit the start of reincarnation
.as Tammuz he goes out hunting and it's said he’s killed by a wild boar but three days
later he comes back to life and they celebrate the resurrection because he was killed on
the Satranailla which was celebrated around December 22nd. They lit huge fires and put
a ule log in the fire. The word ule means –son- and next day it was replaced by an
evergreen tree and decorated. This is recorded in Jeremiah 10 for the customs of the people
are worthless. They cut a tree out of the forest a craftsmen shapes it with a chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold, they fasten it, hammered with nails for it will not fall.
This sounds like a tree dressed in silver and gold much like a Christmas tree. This
just came from the Babylonian religion and also the conception of Tammuz was celebrated
in spring, they called it Ishtar, they celebrated it by colorization of eggs. And this is where
this mixture came in. We all can here society; we can't have church and state mixed. And
312 this church history applies to 312 December AD a time there was mixture of Christianity
and other religions. Domitian was the last of the ten emperors that persecuted Christians.
He died and there was a fight for power. And a man called Constantine was fighting for
power. And he claimed he saw a cross in the sky and he bowed down to his knees said he
would conquer in the sign of the cross. over one hundred thousand Christians joined him.
He won the battle. It's believed to be a political move, it's doubtful that conversion was true.
After he won power, he declared the edict of toleration 312AD. Christianity became the
official religion of Rome. And this is where the mixture came in; he would be faced with
mixing Christianity with all the pagan practices that were going on. It was basically marriage
of church and state. Everyone thought it would be good. This is where infant baptism came
into place, before then baptism took place people accepted Jesus and baptized him to
his name. In 314 AD he issued a coin. One side was the cross; one side was the god of
Jupiter. He said lets mix these practices together and everyone will have peace and
acceptance. They merged religion, religiosity into the church, all the red robes and hats,
the hierarchy moved into the church. So here Satan saw that he was not winning with the
ten persecutions and trying to kill the Christians so he joined them. And we say all religion
has some good, right? As long as they are peaceful and united, there was a marriage
of politics and true faith. So Constantine once he gets into power. He starts merging
Christianity with all these pagan practices. The Christians can be happy and the pagans
can be happy. Was Constantine really good for Christianity? The answer is no because
he weakened it. For Constantine as he is in power as long as he stays, we'll keep the
traditions and we'll call Saturnalia Christmas in winter. Ishtar now becomes Easter and the
people can choose what they want to celebrate. The people can celebrate Tammuz or with Jesus
and everyone is happy. The churches power was lost in the name of unity and began to
blend in. It happened historically but it's current now. There are many movements today
for world unity and peace with all religions. It’s all leading up to the one world religion
that will happen later on in Revelation. Now we use these traditions of the Christmas tree
to exemplify how Jesus died on the cross, he rose from the dead and has ever lasted
life and the gifts under the tree are there for you to accept it and take it. On Easter
we've made the Easter eggs to represent the risen Lord and we even have what we call the
resurrection egg and we use this time to try to reach people for Christ but at this time
at 312 AD is when this started to take place. In one way it's good in one way its bad because
it diverts attention in different areas. During Christmas you know it is just shopping frenzies
and parties and this was what was going on back then. And Easter becomes about Candy,
Easter bunny, Eggs and people don't celebrate Christ. But at least we have an understanding
where it came from because many people will say, Jesus wasn't born in the winter and that's
true. He wasn't, it was probably more in March. So there is the confusion, why you celebrated
Christ’s birth in the winter? Well, it's right here, because it got merged with the
celebration of the Soltist that was going on at that time.
Today is December 7th 2011. We are getting ready for the Christmas season and it is ironic
that I'm talking about Christmas in this message. However, you may be asking, you told us all
this but you still celebrate Christmas. And using the voice of Gru, a character from a
movie to Despicable Me, wait, wait, I haven’t told you the rest of the story yet! There
is a phrase, what would Jesus do. And Jesus in John chapter 10, use this celebration of
Hanukah to share his light and that he is the savior and God. If you’re not familiar
with Hanukah, in the bible, there are many festivals celebrated but this one is not biblical
festival. However it celebrates an event that happened in Jewish history that was predicted
in Daniel Chapter 8. About 165 BC there was this guy called Anticus Epiphanies, he is
a type or picture of antichrist. Because he goes on a rampage killing Jewish people. He
brings in a statue of Jupiter and Idol, into the temple and wants people to worship it.
Just like anti-Christ will do.
There was a group of priests, they call them Maccabees and they had enough! They fought
against him and won! They go in, cleaning up the temple and they go up to light the
menorah but there is only one day supply of oil and it took eight days to make new oil.
And so as the legend is told it lasted 8 days. The Jewish people adopted the festival of
Hanukah, the celebration of this event which was celebrated by lighting of the menorah,
also known as the festival of lights.
Now in John Chapter 10. Jesus goes to this festival of lights and he declares that he
is the light of the world and the Jewish people recognize it.
Then came the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem, people's winter, and Jesus was in the temple
walking in Solomon’s colonel. Jew gathered around him saying, "How long will you keep
us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly". Jesus answered, "I did tell you
but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my fathers name speak for me, but you do
not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep will listen to my voice, I know them
and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they shall not perish, no one can snatch
them out of my hand, my father who has given them to me, is greater than all, no one can
snatch them out of my father’s hand. I and the father are one". Again the Jews picked
up stones to stone him but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from
the father, for which of this do you stone me?" "We are not stoning you for any of these"
replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you a mere man clam to be God. Jesus answered
them. "Is it not written in your Law, I have said you are gods"? If he called them gods
to whom the word of God came and the scripture cannot be broken. What about the one whom
the father set apart as his very own and sent him to the world, why do you then accuse me
of blasphemy because I said I am God's son, do not believe me unless I do what my father
does. But if I do it even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles that you
may know and understand that the father is in me and I in the father.
So you see that Jesus used this man made festival to bring the truth. So now you know the roots,
you can use Christmas time either way, if you have someone that knows that Christmas
is not really about Christ, you can agree and share the facts, you can use the Christmas
tree to show that Jesus came to be savior and light of the world and the gift is free
for everyone to accept.
