ERIKA STORM WASSER: Hey, guys.
I recently got to be a guest host on The Warner Sound.
And I interviewed a brand new band, Delta Rae.
They are amazing.
And because I'm nosy, and I want to
live like a rock star--
who doesn't--
I got us a seat on their tour van.
So I want to hear all about your space.
Tell me about this van.
IAN HOLLJES: We got the van, actually, as a very, very
generous gift.
But we call it Bernie, because somebody lit it on fire.
And it melted all through the electrical.
But then my parents found it and were able to salvage it.
It's a burn victim.
And we don't want to forget its past.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: Hey, describe the van to me.
What are the amenities?
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Oh, my God.
Amenities?
[LAUGHTER]
BRITTANY HOLLJES: We have an eat-in kitchen, as well as a
dining table that seats eight.
ELIZABETH HOPKINS: A patio.
MALE SPEAKER: It's a hotel room.
It's a dressing room.
It's a kitchen.
And there's a lot of bug carnage on the front.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Yeah, for sure.
The front of our van is where bugs go to die.
MALE SPEAKER: And it's got a 10-foot trailer on the back
with all of our equipment in it.
Yeah, it's great.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Also, it's a really great way to practice
Tetris, because we have so much equipment.
And the boys have mastered the art of stacking it and fitting
it in beautifully.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: And do you guys have assigned
seats on the van?
Or do you guys kind of mix it up?
ELIZABETH HOPKINS: We mix it up.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: I generally take the front bench, because
I have a tendency to nest.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: How do you break up the driving?
BRITTANY HOLLJES: The boys.
And they say it's out of courtesy, but I think it's out
of survival.
ERIC HOLLJES: Safety first.
MIKE MCKEE: Out of fear.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: Now who is going to tour me in this van?
BRITTANY HOLLJES: I feel sorry that you have to see this, but
I will show you.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: We're going in the nest.
We're going in.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: So this is it.
And you can see there are shoes.
There is a lot of recyclables, because I have a problem with
throwing away recyclables.
I like to have things piled up around me.
It makes me feel cozy.
And here's a very questionable stain.
I would like for you to not attribute the stain to me.
I cannot explain the stain to you.
I don't want to talk about it any more.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: You can't?
Or you won't?
BRITTANY HOLLJES: I mean, I could tell you about the
stain, but I don't know if you want to know about it.
[BEEPING]
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Do you hear that?
ERIKA STORM WASSER: Yeah.
Do, do, nah, nah.
Nah, nah.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Yeah.
Nah, nah.
Nah, nah.
[BRITTANY AND ERIKA TOGETHER]
Nah, nah.
Nah, nah, nah.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Yeah.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: [LAUGHS]
BRITTANY HOLLJES: That's just Bernie talking to us.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: So this is your row.
And then who usually sits in the middle?
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Usually, Liz is in the corner that you're
in right now.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: OK.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: And that's technically Liz's corner.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: This is Liz's corner.
There are no questionable stains, I can attest.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Yeah.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: Nothing questionable.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Yeah, Liz is doing good.
Today, I was in the back.
So I sort of made a mini nest.
I just thought I would make it cozy.
I unpacked my purse in sort of a haphazard way.
And then these are shoes.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: Ooh.
OK.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Yeah.
And a backpack.
There's some chips down there.
I don't know what that's from.
This is our space.
ERIKA STORM WASSER: Your space on Spaces.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: Exactly.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
MIKE MCKEE: Hi.
I'm Mike.
ERIC HOLLJES: I'm Eric.
ELIZABETH HOPKINS: I'm Liz.
GRANT EMERSON: I'm Grant.
BRITTANY HOLLJES: I'm Brittany.
IAN HOLLJES: I'm Ian.
ERIC HOLLJES: We're Delta Rae.
ELIZABETH HOPKINS: And you're watching Spaces.
