Steve: Hi, it’s Steve from PartSelect. Today we are going to show you how to change the
spray arm kit on your dish washer. It’s a really easy job. All we are going to need
is a Philips screw driver. Let me show you how it’s done. First step in this repair
will be to remove the racks so that we can put it on a suitable work surface to replace
our parts. Now the rack is held in place, the rack stop on each side rails, we need
to remove those, simply depress the locking tab, and lift up when the rack stop.
There is no right or left on these so doesn’t matter if you mix them up. Now just push the
side rails back in pull the rack right out, now we can set this on a work surface and
do our repair. Now the wheel of the rack on a suitable work surface, we need to do is
to remove this one Philip’s head screw that secures the upper spray arm to the mounting
bracket. We can lift the feed tube through the holder at the back, now lift the spray
arm and feed tube off of the mounting bracket in one piece, upper bearing and the sprayer.
Next we can remove the feed tube holder, just pry it off with tie-ins on the rack, discard
that and install our new one in the same manner, just snaps on at the tie-ins. You’ll notice
there is a split in that holder and it’s meant to be there. Next we’ll take out our
spray arm, set it right on the mounting bracket, put a bushing on next and our feed tube put
it through a holder first and you’ll note inside there is a notch that matches the notch
on the holder be sure that line’s up. Reinstall the Philips screw that’s supplied with the
kit, check for a free movement of the spray arm now we are ready to put the basket back
into our dish washer.
Now we are ready to reinstall the rack, we’ll open the door pull the two sides rails out
in line with the rear wheels up, in those two channels, slide them until they engage
front wheels. Now we are ready to put rack stops in place, slide them fully in until
you hear the click, now lock in tab engages and our repair is complete. That’s just
how easy it is to change the spray arm kit on your dish washer. Thanks for watching and
good luck with your repair.
