My name is Byron Ebbert.
I'm a second year graduate student here at Eastern,
and I am currently working on my Master's thesis
in analytical chemistry.
What you see here is, I'm using a potentiostat and
an electrochemical cell to analytically search for
compounds in solutions.
This is part of my Master's thesis research in developing
a hand-held electrical chemical device for the detection of
illicit drugs to be used by law enforcement officials
in the field that will give them immediate feedback.
This work will help me in my career later on in life
should I choose a career path either in law enforcement or
as an analytical chemist.
This will give me a much better background and more experience.
