Hi, it’s Steve from PartSelect. Today we’re going to show you how to change the lower
spray arm seal on your dishwasher. It’s a really easy job; all we’re going to need
is a small flat blade screwdriver. Let me show you how we do it.
Now to do this repair we’ll start by opening the dishwasher door and removing the lower
rack & basket; we’ll set that aside.
Now we’ll pull the center spray nozzle off, just unthread it from atop the lower spray
arm and set it aside. You can pull the center portion out if you wish.
Next we’ll lift the bottom spray arm off; check the bottom of it to make sure that a
split ring is not on the bottom of that.
Then with a small flat blade screwdriver we’ll go in beside that spray arm bearing and lift
out the old seal.
This model of dishwasher should have two of those lower spray arm seals in them. Both
are split rings. So when we install them make sure that the split is opposite from the previous
one.
Just press it down into the opening on the pump cover.
You’ll notice the lower spray arm has a two-sided section on it that will line up
with the bearing; set that over top of it. Make sure it turns freely.
Install the center nozzle and retainer; tighten it. Again make sure it turns freely.
And now we install the lower rack, and our repair is complete.
Told you it was an easy job. Thanks for watching, and good luck with your repair.
