Steve: Hi, it’s Steve from PartSelect. Today we are going to show you how to change the
shelf support stud on your refrigerator. It’s pretty easy job, all we are going to need
is couple of tools or a slip joint pliers or channel lock pliers. Let me show you how
it’s done. The first step in this repair will be to remove any door bins and shelving
that may be in the way of changing that shelf stud. Now with the crispers in shelving out
of the way, we now have access to the shelf support stud. We will take our pliers, grasp
it at the base, and counter clockwise with a half a turn and slowly wiggle it out of
that rectangular hole in the line. When inserting the new shelf support stud, aligning up with
the metal retaining clips horizontally, press it in fully. Take our pliers and rotate it
clockwise, until the flat plastic portion of the shelf support stud is in a horizontal
position. Check and make sure that it’s snug. Now we will reinsert all of the shelving
and crispers. And our repair is complete. That’s just how easy it is to change the
shelf support stud on your refrigerator. Thanks for watching and good luck with your repair.
