What’s up KState, I’m Donovan Woods. Now, I know what you’re thinking; you wish you
were back at home watching TV, but a little activity on campus is the perfect remedy for
home sickness.
Now, if you’re looking to shed some pounds this year, the Rec Services has got you covered.
Starting tomorrow till February 10th, they will be offering a personal training special,
with Buy 12 or 18 sessions at regular price, you get 3 additional sessions free! You know,
I’ve been thinking about hitting the gym myself.
After hitting the gym, cool down with the movie “Daisy Bates: First Lady of Little
Rock” in the Town Hall Room of the Leadership studies building at 7 pm. Daisy Bates was
a largely forgotten heroine of the civil rights movement who led the charge to desegregate
the all-white Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. This event is free and open
to the public through the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance Week.
Looking to add a class this semester? Well, today is the last day to do it without instructor
permission. So, go ahead and sign up for that extra class you’ve been thinking about!
Last, but not least, the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated will be celebrating
their Crimson and Creme week today with the game of a college student. They will be teaming
up with Powercat Financial to provide students with tips on how to save money. This event
will be held in the Big Twelve Room at 6 pm.
