Guava is one the nutritious fruits.
It is high on vitamin C and many other minerals.
Today we will make guava Sabzi with sweet and tarting flavor.
Let’s see what all ingredients are required for making guava Sabzi.
Guava - 3 medium (250 grams)
Paste - 2 tomatoes, 2 green chilies and 1 inch ginger piece.
Green coriander - 2-3 tbsp (finely chopped)
Fresh curd - ¼ cup
Oil - 2-3 tbsp
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Red chilly powder - ¼ tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - ¼ tsp
Raisins - 1 tbsp
Cashew nuts - 6-7
Sugar - 1.5 tsp
Salt - more ½ tsp (as per taste)
For making guava Sabzi start with the process of making masala.
Preheat pan and add oil in it.
When oil gets hot add cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder, coriander powder and paste of tomato-green chilly.
Sauté the masala until oil starts floating on the surface.
Also add red chilly powder.
Keep stirring after every one minutes.
Meanwhile cut guavas.
Don’t use over ripe guava for making Sabzi.
Remove the seeds from every piece.
Masala is ready; now add curd into it.
Keep stirring constantly.
When oil starts floating the surface, add guava pieces into the masala.
Also add ½ cup water into it.
Add sugar, salt, garam masala and green coriander in the Sabzi.
Also add raisins, cashew nuts and cook for 5-6 minutes.
Check after six minutes.
Press the guavas slightly they should be little tender.
Sabzi is ready; take it out in a serving bowl.
Garnish with green coriander leaves.
Sweet-tarty flavored guava curry is ready.
Serve with chapatti, parantha, puri or rice.
