the position. There were 15 eligible applicants 10 of whom presented their interest in the
position.

to 5 candidates who will have closed door interviews. The school board is expected to
make a final decision on the position by the end of the month.

December of this year, at which point the position will be open to a public election.

Interfacility Traffic Area and Vicinity Master Plan study. The study will focus on the land
under the flight corridor between NAS Oceana and the Fentress Airfield. And the city is
looking for your input.

at 6 p.m. for citizens who have a stake in that area. Citizens will be able to provide
input that could help define a vision for the future of the I-T-A and the surrounding
land. The meeting will be held in building 19 at the municipal center… and again, the

got your driver’s license…10, 20, maybe even 30 years? All that experience adds up
to something, but If it’s been awhile, since you last reviewed the rules of the road, then
the AARP has just the course to bring you up to date.
Tune up your driving skills and get a quick refresher course on driver safety during the
AARP Driver Safety Program. The program is geared for seniors age 50 and older, but is
open to all drivers. The two day course runs from 9am to 1pm on March 25th and 26th at
the Princess Anne Recreation Center. The course is 12 dollars for AARP members and 14 for
non-members….to register call 426-6023.

many could save money for many, while providing a little relief for those involved… its
Respite Care for the Eldery… a program that provides assistance by offering an adult sitter
for families in need.

they substitute for a family member so the family caregiver can get out of the house.

think you might be interested in helping an older adult, then here’s an opportunity

The 35th annual Artisans in the Park celebration is slowly sneaking up on us and they’re
encouraging all qualified artists to apply. From August 7th through the 8th more than
20,000 people take over Great Neck Park during the annual celebration which features artwork
from across the country, live entertainment, and plenty of festival foods. Artist applications

to get some hands on experience. But for some students, that experience means stepping beyond
their role in the classroom to do paid work for local companies…

first. Ti’s not like getting a normal grade in school, that’s for sure. You can’t
just get extra credit and make it up, you need to get it done the first time and it
needs to be correct.
Students modeled buildings, created 3-d models and plotted maps. And as they honed their
skills, places like the military aviation museum in Virginia Beach saw a new dimension
added to their business…

2007 that allows students to compete against other students all over the world in age appropriate
basic math computation facts.
The Windsor woods elementary students linked up with others online to compete in 60 second
math competitions. Students earned points for each correct answer… but it was more
than just solving problems, there was a fun factor too!
04:13:59 Kids love it, anytime you can tie technology into learning they forget that
they’re learning and they’re having fun and mastering math at the same time, they
enjoy the competitive nature of it and who they’’re competing against around the
world.
And that kind of interaction equals better preparation for a global workforce…

to play with 10s of thousands of people around the world…
And the final sum of all correct math problems solved on world math day??? More than five
hundred and twenty five million.
In all, the students at Windsor Woods elementary answered more than one hundred one thousand
math problems in one day with an accuracy rate of 93 percent.

to something, but If it’s been awhile, since you last reviewed the rules of the road, then
the AARP has just the course to bring you up to date.
Tune up your driving skills and get a quick refresher course on driver safety during the
AARP Driver Safety Program. The program is geared for seniors age 50 and older, but is
open to all drivers. The two day course runs from 9am to 1pm on March 25th and 26th at
the Princess Anne Recreation Center. The course is 12 dollars for AARP members and 14 for

in the technology programs at the advanced technology center they know they’re going
to get some hands on experience. But for some students, that experience means stepping beyond
their role in the classroom to do paid work for local companies…

these classes are eligible to participate in a work-based experience related t the field
they’re in. Students are actually screened by their instructors based on technical skills,

first. Ti’s not like getting a normal grade in school, that’s for sure. You can’t
just get extra credit and make it up, you need to get it done the first time and it
needs to be correct.
Students modeled buildings, created 3-d models and plotted maps. And as they honed their
skills, places like the military aviation museum in Virginia Beach saw a new dimension
added to their business…

learn how many math problems the students at Windsor Woods Elementary solved on March
3rd… a-k-a world maths day!

04;11:47;0 Today the students are participating in world math day an event that started in
2007 that allows students to compete against other students all over the world in age appropriate
basic math computation facts.
The Windsor woods elementary students linked up with others online to compete in 60 second
math competitions. Students earned points for each correct answer… but it was more
than just solving problems, there was a fun factor too!
04:13:59 Kids love it, anytime you can tie technology into learning they forget that
they’re learning and they’re having fun and mastering math at the same time, they
enjoy the competitive nature of it and who they’’re competing against around the
world.
And that kind of interaction equals better preparation for a global workforce…

to play with 10s of thousands of people around the world…
And the final sum of all correct math problems solved on world math day??? More than five
hundred and twenty five million.
In all, the students at Windsor Woods elementary answered more than one hundred one thousand
math problems in one day with an accuracy rate of 93 percent.
