Hi, I am Eugenie.
Today I am going to make basic pancakes.
Today is Sunday, right?
For thie recipe, you will need:
120 g all-purpose flour,
55 g caster sugar,
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder,
Pinch salt,
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract,
1 egg,
25 g unsalted butter,
and 130 ml whole milk
First, cover the bowl of butter and melt in the microwave.
Then, sift the flour and baking powder together.
Add in sugar and whisk to combine.
Make a well in the central of flour mixture.
Add in an egg, pinch of salt, vanilla extract, and milk.
Whisk to combine.
Finally, add in melted butter and whisk until homogeneous.
On a high heat, melt the butter on a pan.
Reduce the heat to medium
and pour half ladle of batter on the pan.
Wait for about two minutes
until the baking powder in the batter gets activated.
See the bubbles? This is the sign.
Delicately flip the pancake
and cook another two minutes.
The key here is to cook well without burning the surface.
Serve when it's hot with butter and maple syrup or honey.
Thank you for watching!
Bye for now -
