Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies Recipe

Today we will make chocolate short bread cookies.
These are very tempting and are especially made on the occasion of Christmas.
Let’s see what all ingredients are required for making chocolate shortbread cookies.
Maida - 2 cup
Butter - 1 cup
Powdered sugar - 1 cup
Dark compound chocolate - 100 grams
It is easily available in market.
Salt - ¼ tsp
If using salted butter then don’t add salt.
For making cookies firstly melt butter.
Microwave butter for 1 minute.
Take out melted butter in a bowl.
Add powdered sugar and salt.
Whisk really nice until sugar-butter becomes fluffy.
Now add maida.
Mix with help of hands and knead dough.
If dough remains dry then add 2 tbsp milk and knead the dough.
Dough is ready; keep it aside for 15-20 minutes and then make cookies.
Now start making cookies.
Take little amount of dough like this.
You can also make cookies by cutting them directly from dough.
But we will shape them with hands.
Roll and then flatten with your hands like this.
Place them on baking tray.
Like wise prepare all cookies.
Take a fork for making design.
Keep it on the top like this and press gently.
Now place the cookies for baking.
Preheat microwave at convection mode at 180 degree centigrade.
Place the tray on the wire rack.
Set the microwave on convection mode at 180 degree centigrade for 10 minutes.
Check after 10 minutes.
Meanwhile melt chocolate.
For this take water in a utensil and place it on flame.
Take chocolate in a small utensil and place it in the warm water.
Cookies have become golden brown; now take them out.
Bake cookies for 10 minutes more on same temperature if they are little brown in color.
Place them on a wire rack so that they get frigid.
Chocolate is also ready. It should have pouring consistency.
It took 20-25 minutes for melting chocolate.
Turn of the gas.
Make it frigid so that it can be handled with hands.
Take out chocolate in a bowl.
Now dip the half cookie in chocolate like this.
Like wise dip all cookies.
After dipping cookies in chocolate place them on butter paper instead of plate.
Store them in air tight container after they get frigid and enjoy eating for up to month.
