I think the social protection floor is absolutely essential for the realization of social justice,
and I think for me it obviously means that individuals have a right to basic essential
services. They also have a right, and I think this is sometimes forgotten, to income security
whether it be through a fair wage or through some transfer in terms of some support. So
for me, the most important thing, from the initiative, is the interrelationship between
social and economic justice. You cannot achieve one without the other. And I think that for
me is the crucial point, and it’s going to be absolutely essential that in all the
policies we get that integration and coherence between the two.
