FULL-TIME POSITIONS IN NOVEMBER 1971.SHE HAS WORKED IN ALMOST EVERY
DEPARTMENT OF THE LIBRARY.FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS, AND
REFERENCE ANDNSTRUCTIONN BEFORE BEING EMPLOYED AND THE
LIBRARY, SHE WAS AN ENGLISH MAJOR.SHE RECEIVED A DEGREE IN
ENGLISH IN 1971 AND GRADUATED WITH HONORS.SHE EARNED hER MASTER'S IN
LIBRARY SCIENCE FROM USC IN 1976.DURING HER TENURE, SHE HAS
WORKED UNDER FOR DIRECTORS AND BEANS AND ONE INTERIM DEAN.

PROVIDE HIGH-QUALITY SERVICE TO STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF.

SHE BEGAN HER JOURNEY IN 1968 WHEN SHE BECAME A STUDENT AND
THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION.SHE WORKED AS A STUDENT
ASSISTANT FOR THE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT THROUGHOUT
HER YEARS IN COLLEGE.SHE WAS A MEMBER OF A SORORITY,
SERVED AS THE RECORDING SECRETARY, AND WAS CROWNED
COLLEAGUE YOU QUEEN IN 1970.[APPLAUSE]SHE STILL HAS THE WAY.
SHE CALLS THIS HER 15 MINUTES OF FAMEuMOMENT AND HAS SERVED ON
THE JUDGE AT THE EVENT FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS.SHE RECEIVED A DEGREE IN
OFFICE SECRETARIAL SCIENCE IN 1972 AND BEGAN EMPLOYMENT AS A
DEPARTMENT SECRETARY FOR THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS.HER THOUGHTS WERE TO
WORK ON CAMPUS UNTIL SHE FOUND A REAL JOB.[LAUGHTER]
AFTER WORKING BRIEFLY IN ACADEMIC AFFAIRS, SHE JOINED THE
PRESIDENT'S STAFF IN 1975.SHE HAS WORKED FOR FOUR
PRESIDENTS DURING HER TIME ON CAMPUS.DR. KRAMER, A BOUNTY, SUZUKI,
AND DR. ORTIZ.SHE HAS NOT -- SHE IS NOT ONLY PROUD OF HER FOUR YEARS
OF 40 YEARS OF SERVICE, BUT OF HER TWO SONS.ROBERT, WHO WORKS AS A
STUDENT ASSISTANT AND A DISABLED STUDENT CENTER IS A SENIOR MAJORING

THAN ANY OTHER ABOUT YOUR WADERS, BUT SHE WAS WISE BEYOND
HER YEARS.A DECADE LATER SHE BECAME THE LEAD OF VALUE LATER/
SHE IS A LIVING ENCYCLOPEDIA OF ANYTHING PERTAINING --
PERTAINING TO DEGREE REQUIREMENTS.SHE KNOWS THAT ANSWERS TO ALL
THE DEPARTMENT QUESTIONS.IF SHE DOES NOT REMEMBER
